The Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion
With the New Year, the Rector's Inside/Out Seminar studies the confessional statement of the Episcopal Church: the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion. The Articles are an important statement of faith that has set the DNA of the Anglican church for nearly 450 years and they still have a place as the doctrinal standard of many churches in the world-wide Anglican communion. (You can read them for yourself on page 867 of our black Book of Common Prayer).
The goal of the seminar is to discover how the Articles are still a wonderful summary of what is taught in the entirety of Holy Scripture and how they can also be of great personal benefit to you in stimulating learning and growth in Christian understanding.
The Thirty-Nine Articles are not merely interesting history, they have an important and continuing place for today.
